President Eisenhower warns the U.S.

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

"We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

@2787mh I'm certainly no communist in the slightest sense, but the american people should just wake up, read things outside of the mainstream media and keep informed. Eisenhower said this to us 50 years ago, we have not heard him and it seem that we will not. We have to stay informed!!

@nagone11 If you read Karl Marx, he writes about this. Remember capitalism was unpopular back in the 1848 aswell. It was never popular because it gave too much power to too few people. Marx writes that America will try to make the world in its image, that the rich will betray the working people and that religion will be used to control people into conformity. Forcing revolution & "pure communism" - the stage when government or capitalism doesn't exist. Point being, this greedy plan ain't new.
