Empress Ekdahl

The Ekdahl Moisturizer and the Empress Super Delay meet for the first time today! You'll see me trying to figure out the Ekdahl as I run it through the Empress Super Delay and figured some people may find a video useful somehow. On the Empress I'm using the tape setting then switch to loop about halfway through the video to see how the Ekdahl stacks on itself. There are a lack of videos of the Ekdahl anywhere let alone showcasing it as a performance instrument, which is primarily why I'm obsessed with it. Works out nicely!

I have an Ekdahl and love it it is a synth in itself :-) Word of advice dont use your hands to play the springs if you want to keep the springs sounding as they do now...ie dirrt and moisture from hands etc go on to the springs ...use a chop stick :-) but make sure it is properly tuned :-)

@Yotunen По моему мнению, все железо, электроника, механика, они же можно сказать живые. Практически душу имеют, ну и отношение к ним должно быть соответствующее. Ведь возможно по этой причине у одних людей техника работает долго и безотказно, а у других, что ни купи - все быстро ломается. Как говорят:" Доброе слово, оно и кошке приятно" Уважай технику и она ответит тебе тем же.

Ну как то очень жестко он с этим ревером обходится, там же пьезо датчики. Вон, аж пружины слетают от усердия... (((

@cray56: Thanks for answering my unasked question about what materials the springs should be played with. Wasn't sure if certain materials would damage them. Do you really suggest chopsticks? Or is something else better to use.
