The Sims - Build 5 Sheet Music

By popular demand, here's my transcription for Build Theme 5 from the The Sims. The full sheet music can be downloaded from http://sites.google.com/site/pseudomusicsite/music/the-sims

It's considerably longer and harder than any of the other "build" pieces but don't let that put you off learning it!

Just to clarify, this is not me playing it! It's the original music from the game carefully synced up to my transcription playing in Sibelius.

I use Sibelius and I don't understand how you did this! You took an existing audio recording and then inputted the notes into Sibelius. But #1) How did you make the score follow the timing of the recording, and #2) How did you shoot a video of the cursor leading us through the music? Amazing work. Please explain! Thanks!

@verity9000 I used a program called "Transcribe!" to help mark out every beat in the music. Then I made a Sibelius plugin to convert this into hidden tempo markings on the score. Then I used ScreenFlow to capture the video of Sibelius playing through the music and overlaid the original mp3 on top. Easy when you know how :)

scratch that. i just read in the description in pseudo's site that it's "new age". wow i thought new age was kinda like all hippie ambient sounds and magic spells :3 but this, this is beautiful T‿T
