I love this song period. The beauty of DJ's music is that, while his recordings aren't for everyone, they lend themselves really well to being covered or even re-arranged by other musicians. There is no denying that Daniel is one of the most emotionally talented songwriters of our time, but that also means that to do a cover as well as this or Wilco's version, the performing artist has to have a serious emotional understanding of the song.

It'd be in ur best interest to listen to Matthew Good's music. They are oddly similar. This is an ode to one his great influences. He didnt do it to sell albums. He has already outsold Johnston. Also they both suffer from heavy bipolar disorder
