According to marilyns dressmaker she was a 37-23-36.. That is an incredibly small waist. Noone accounts for the fact that dress sizes have changed in the last 50 years. What was once a size 10 is now a size 2 etc...

It's terrible to think how someone could think that Marilyn was fat. More than that, even if she was, there is no denying she was a beautiful woman. It's disgusting to think that so many people are conforming to the idea of beauty being just skinny.
