  • 15:50 "I have a deep respect and appreciation for the contribution to human experience of the nervous system." Me too. Permanent, irreversible, willful damage of another human being's body without medical necessity is horrible. The film's effect on his father-- poignant.

  • Excellent! Over the past 6 years that I have know Eliyahu he has expanded his knowledge extensively on this issue so that he can not be ignored and his film cannot be dismissed. The world will have to deal with the issues he has so eloquently raised. And, as always, Bonobo3D has brought out the best in his interview subjects.

  • @deadhardy Why don't you find a train to stand in front of? Infant mutilators must be wiped off the face of the Earth!!!

  • Cultures that MUTILATE their males infant penises are the MOST violent ones in the World. More people are killed, abused, depressed in nations where infant genital mutilation are considered the norm. Sick sick shit, which must be abolished across the whole World. Leave infants genitals alone you sick fucks!!!

  • @loqiloqi It is part of the Jewish mental and cultural perspective that babies are property, 'owned' by the parents. This in fact part of many people's mental and cultural perspective. It's a basic lack of empathy and ability to emotionally connect with others, and many of us experience this to differing degrees in various ways. Few of us ever truly contemplate the effect that our words and actions have had on others. It is part of the inherent narcissism of the ego.

  • "He had never thought of it from the baby's perspective."

    What...the...fjuck?...

  • Eliyah was a great interview subject. I admire his keen intellect and sensitive perception. Thanks for the comments, and thanks Bonobo3D for another invaluable contribution!

p.s. I think Eli's approach to "truth in beauty first" will ironically be far more persuasive than someone who sets out to just convince someone, without knowing about the artistic angle.

  • On doctors refusing to hear new information re: circumcision:

"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it."

    ~Upton Sinclair

Without any medical or clinical indication whatsoever, can a doctor even be performing surgery on a healthy, non-consenting individual, let alone elicit any kind of "decision" from parents?

How audacious that doctors have the nerve to stoke a parent's sense of entitlement!

  • A most wonderful interview! Thank you, Eli, thank you for making this world a kinder, gentler, more respectful place.
