Danny Burns Is A Performing songwriter from the Northwest of Ireland Based In Nashville Tn, Danny Has been on the road as a full time musician/performing songwriter since age 17, Playing in such places as New York, New Jersey, Pittsburg, New Orleans, Chicago, Miami, D.C, Memphis, Nashville, Derry, Belfast and threw out the northwest of Ireland. Coming from a working musician's family this seemed to be the normal thing to do after finishing school! Danny's music has many different styles and influences But He referres to it as "Its Just roots Music." Danny was hailed by Home&Away NYC, As "The next generation of balladeers.One to watch!", while his time in the New York serving a resdency at one of NYC's finest live music venues "Rocky Sullivans" Danny was featured in a documentary About the Irish legend singer/songwriter Shane Mcgowan and His song "the fairytale of new york" which was air'd on Irish national televison RTE. Danny Returned To the northwest of Ireland after 2 years in New York where He spent most of his time writting,fishing and drinking! Danny signed up with D.C/Maryland based folk group and headed back to the states to start performing in pub,clubs and festivals venues all along the eastern sea board, after 6monthes of touring with the band Danny caught a greyhound southbound to the cresent city, New orleans where he started a winter resdency in the heart of the french quarter performing daily shows for the good people of new orleans, this was a very exciting time for Danny's music to progress and to be influenced by other styles of roots music after 8monthes in new orleans Danny took up another resdency in chicago at a blues&jazz club where he formed his band from local jazz and blues players, the mix of influences made total sense! after a year of giggin threw out the chicagoland area Danny and his band earned the reputation of being a Great live act. Danny got the call from nashville and headed off once again catching a greyhound southbound! Danny is writing, producing & performing In Nahville and working on his first studio album. Danny continues to performs strong live shows and draws possitive reveiws wherever he Goes.
