Jessica trades in the park at least twice per week, and she has some excellent tips for people who are interested in getting started. Hopefully we'll have her on the channel as a regular feature when we take our trips out to the park. She also recommends disneypinforums.com as a great resource.

  • Will a Cast Member get angry with you if you try to trade a counterfeit pin? I was thinking about purchasing some Peter Pan pins online, but I wouldn't want to get a cast member angry with me.

  • @britneyaaronpeter I don't think the cast member would usually be able to recognize a counterfeit pin, since according to the person I interviewed in this video, they often have counterfeit pins on them that they trade out without knowing it, so you may actually end up getting a counterfeit pin from them.

  • @AMouseAndADream CM's have to take any copyright Disney pin. Even the ones made pre- "Officail MouseEars Pin Trading" Logo.

Yes, there were ©Disney pins made way before pin trading was even dreamed up.

And Scrappers are NOT counterfeit (see vid on my channel).

So much misinformation, so little time.

  • @The1andOnlyTikiCarol What misinformation are you referring to? Nothing you just said contradicts anything said in the video.

  • What does counterfit mean? Fake?

  • @marie3334 Yes, there are people that make fake Disney pins and try to pass them off as the real thing. Sometimes these knock-offs are pretty close, so they can easily fool a lot of beginning traders.

  • great person, she seems like an excellent trader. Doesnt seem like a douche like some people down in florida who would make people go in the store and buy pins just for unfair trades. She seems legit, hope she continues what she is doing. Great video

  • Hey, that was really interesting. I've been collecting pins for years but I've been reluctant to trade because I get so attached to them lol. Every pin has a different memory attached to it which makes it extra-special to me =D

  • @Roboticmonkee I never said not to trade with cast members. I just want people to be careful when trading with castmembers becuase they cannot say no to a trade so there is no quality control. Counterfeit pins have no quality to them as a matter of fact if you get them wet the paint comes off of the pin. For more info on spotting counterfeits go to: disneypinforum on the web.

  • @AMouseAndADream Oh, I understand now. Thanks. (:

  • Hate that she says Beware to trade with cast Members. Most people who trade with CM's are new and that promotes the hobby with MOST people. If the pin is fake and you like it.. GET IT. Later down the line they will know wither its fake or not and most DONT CARE. Saying NOT TO TRADE with cms KILLS your hobby.

  • @AMouseAndADream They can fool even older traders as well.
