I disagree with physical discipline that inflicts pain. I believe there are alternative methods that are effective and that don't involve pain and humiliation. Parents can beat children and they still act up and try not to get caught so it's not like beatings are much more effective than alternative methods. As an adult I wouldn't want anyone beating me when I make mistakes and no adult would but it is viewed as acceptable when handling children. I don't get it.

I agree. and when I have a son I expect my husband to discipline my son and because I am a woman I don't feel like I could properly discipline a boy... sometimes it just takes a man... but I do not agree with him putting it on WSHH

The father did what that little boy deserved, some parents just need to use that method of punishment in order to reinforce the need for good behavior. In my opinion that was nothing compared to what happened in my household and I'm a female who had a mother for a disciplinarian and I never doubted for 1 sec that she didn't loved me and neither did my other brothers and sisters. I just don't believe the father should of made the video viral. That was just stupid.

The only thing I dont agree with is him putting lil man on WSHH. but other than that I might have to copy that bcuz my son & daughter is startin to act out a little. I dont like giving them beatings but afterwhile they will feel the struggle and pain that I feel ya knw. Every child needs discipline bcuz they'll grow up without respect if they never received discipline. I feel he did a great job bcuz he wasn't calling him names. he was being a real father & great father in my eyes. Much respect!

ok i watched the video and i personally dont see anything wrong with it...he didnt even whoop him that long...my dad was in the military and he did my and my bro the same way and im glad he was like that or i wouldnt be the proud intelligent person im am today...because of those ass whoopins and diciplining i have not ever stole anything and have not ever been to jail.

I agree.. I wouldn't do this to a lil girl but for a boy he needs to learn respect if he's going to grown up as a GOOD man.. So I think his discipline was harsh but necessary

(continuing) Now if that child were to grow up without being discipline and end living a life of crime. Then eventually killing a family member or someone you know.. The first thing out of people's out mouths is gonna be were was his parents ? Did he get any type of discipline when he was growing up? Most important question: Was is father involved in his life?.. So people need to stop and learn to know the difference between "Discipline and Child Abuse" and stop confusing the two..
