Harris County Precinct 6 National Night Out 2010

Harris County Constable Precinct 6 Victor Trevino and his wife Harris County Precinct 7 Lieutenant Silvia Trevino held their annual National Night Out Event on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Diez Park (1800 Dumble) in the East End.

The Trevinos welcomed neighborhood residents to enjoy an evening of food, refreshments, entertainment and other activities while they share ideas on how to strengthen their neighborhood and make it safer as part of National Night Out.

Attendees were treated to games, door prizes, give-a-ways, the Precinct 6 water rescue boats, and Houston Fire Department fire trucks.

The event used to be held at their home on Godwin Street but due to growth of the event it was moved to Diez Park, which is located across the street from the Trevino home.

Constable Trevino wanted to keep with tradition and held the Precinct 6 National Night Out event during the summertime with the rest of the nation to bring the community together and help get the children ready to go back to school.

Constable Trevino said the event is a perfect way of promoting civic pride and bringing neighbors together. "National Night Out affords us the chance to spend a wonderful evening with our neighbors while taking a stance against crime and enhancing the quality of life for our children," he said. "An informed and involved community makes for a safer community."
