Hadn't heard this song in about 16 years but it is clearly unforgettable for me to get on here to search for it. I seem to remember a different vid though. I am a black dude from the dusty streets of Soweto, in South Africa by the way.

In 2001 some Indian radio stations practically signed on and off with this like it was the national native anthem. :)
Walela, "Unbearable Love"
Robbie Robertson, "Music for The Native Americans" & "Contact from the Underworld of Redboy"
John Trudell, "Tribal Voice", "Johnny Damas & Me"
Bill Miller's albums & Joanne Shenandoah's
Robert Mirabal, "Song Carrier" & "AlterNative"
In The Spirit of Crazy Horse
Keith Secola, NDN KAR
Native music is alive and everywhere!

Still my favourite song for so many years now. Haven't known the translation(s) for long though, so thank you very much. Makes me remember the Yukon territory and Champaigne Aishihik Community, where I first listened to it on the radio.
Oh, by the way, "hell" was translated rather wrong from the pre-christian cultures. Means "tomb" . Hel in the nordic languages is related and it's just like the place where the dead go to spend the afterlife. Nobody will go to "hell" in a christian sense.

2 PEOPLE DON'T HAVE HEARTS!
No matter what the real translation is. If you listen to it, you must recognize it is real music, that comes straight from the heart and it goes deep down to the bottom of your soul. Thx for sharing it with us! I love it!
