  • He's doing exactly what Christianity has been doing for centuries. Convincing people they are horrible, evil people and the only salvation is Christ. What an easy, thoughtless, spoon-fed way to reflect on your life. People aren't becoming enlightened, they are being told how to think and feel. It's a magic show and no one seems to care how the tricks are done. Once you know the tricks, it loses it's glamor.

  • @roac7777 'You have a god' - do not presume to assume that just because I criticise your arguments, I therefore support the other point of view.

And what you have come up now with is a completely different argument, and one worth thinking about (why God lets evil happen, not why God 'waited thousands of years' to send Jesus), so I'm glad you listened to me :)

So, where does morality come from? What is morality? Does it exist? What does it mean, if it's meaning is not based on 'religion'?

  • @scatteringpoems Of course it matters. You have a god who is supposed to be the wisest being ever and yet he is either remarkably lazy & inept or a sadist. Why allow the holocaust, the genocide of 3 million Cambodians by Poi Pot, the 25 million Russians who were starved to death by Stalin etc etc. Why should human beings ask forgiveness to a god that made us the way we are in the first place. This celestial dictator does not even exist. We are moral despite any god & religion.

  • This man is by far the most egotistical, arrogant preacher I've ever seen. He says good people doing bad things is a myth...he says we are what we do, it's effectively black and white and therefore we deserve to be hated by God (who, er, kind of created us in the first place, but that's another issue).

Driscoll, go take a walk in a psychiatric ward and see how many depressed, anxious, schizophrenic, and generally ill-minded people have committed evil acts unwillingly.

  • at 00:12 he says "Doo doo". Just sayin...

  • Christianity doesn't make any sense. Period.

  • this guy is spot on. for those who disagree, then I humbly say, study the books of the Bible a bit more because you do not understand the glorious message of the Bible.

  • @roac7777 Why should it matter what time in the history of the world such an act happened? I'm not saying it did, or didn't, but your argument is pointless. Why does it matter if it happened after 148,000 years? Is God controlled by time, or is he bigger than it? If his forgiveness is for everyone, who's to say that he's only going to forgive people 'AD'? I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. Think up some better arguments please.

  • Romans 5:8

  • @PopcornMawn Your Jesus was either a deluded eccentric or an immoral fraud. No one can take on the wrong doings of others onto his/her shoulders. If I liked you I could pay your fine for you. If you were incredibly sweet to me I could do your prison sentence for you, if I were allowed to BUT I could not take your bad actions away from you because that is immoral & depraved. No one can do that and also suspend the laws of nature & science.
