did a test flight with our new Garmin 600 in our Metroliner. Had to go back and get a tech'y to trouble shoot a few issues. So I got to get in the back and take a few videos.

  • At the moment, I am building a FNPT II MCC based on an Metroliner airframe. Can anybody provide me with the original window linings and the roof linings for the Metroliner?

  • what is a FNPT ii MCC . . . sorry . . . is it for like X plane or something? give me an email address and I'l send over what you need.

  • This has an executive interior, is it your personal toy, or a corporate tool or both?

Also, the left mfd on the Garmin looks like it's showing a camera view of the runway on landing. Is that a synthetic view or a real picture?

  • Personal toy. . . no, I fly for a company who owns it. Yeah, you can see the left MFD, that is synthetic vision. It is very nice as you can see. We can actually see the runway environment on Synthetic Vision often times before we can see it in "real Life"!

  • this is a regional airlines type airplane, so yes, we fly IFR all the time. it is a turbo-prop. The G1000 can only be used in STC airplanes that are new, so the G600 is the "next best thing" the display is not a big (which I like) but it can do everything (as far as navigation) that the G1000 can do. But it is there to replace the old steam gauges. The traffic alert system can be turned on or off both in 3-D and in 2-D.

The graphics are the same as the G1000.

  • Wow glass cockpit on a lawn dart! No one here in Australia would fork out that kind of cash unfortunately, specially the old mob I worked for.

  • So much memories, i have about 1800 hours in Metro-II, Merlin 3.B, ·3-C and Fairchild 300, with 2 flightsafety in San Antonio

  • whats the difference between g500 and 600- is the 6 for heavier acft?

  • An FNPT Type II MCC is a training simulator. It means Flight and Navigation Procedure Trainer, Type II (higher level) MCC, (Multi Crew Coordination). Maybe in US and Canada, there is another word for it. You get my email address via private message.

  • waaooooooo, nice toy
