That was when we first arrived in Iceland on March 26, 2009. We picked up the rental car and Jes filmed me driving. At the end of video, that's the downtown of Reykjavik. This is also posted on my blog: http://www.seekgeo.com/?p=3357

  • SG- kind of old video, but wanted to let you know that I admire you and how you get to go to all of these places. It just lets people know that NO disability that anyone has can stop them from living their life. Kisses to you! ~Caitlin

  • @Mascaradove Aw, just wanted to say thank you for your kind comment, that made my day! This is exactly why I started vlogging from day one to show I can live my life like others. :-)

  • beautiful! I can't wait to go to Iceland too =D you beat me to it!!! lol

  • Hey ashmantoronto, Aww.. didn't mean to beat you! Oh well.. if you want, you can go to Denmark first before me just to beat me, how's that? He he..

Yeah I agree it's so beautiful there!! Too cold but still beautiful! :-D

  • It is pretty but cloudy. Were those snow clouds? Did your car come with snow tires? Did Jes have to call for directions? I saw him on the phone in the mirror. hehee.

  • Hey River,

Oh that was video camera that he used to film. It was just clouds I think lol. I'm sure all cars in Iceland come with season tires since they snow a lot there, ya know? :-P

  • its not that cold here in iceland i just were a shirt and pants thats all u need

  • if you really like icelandic nature then you should check my video beutyfull iceland its old but icelandic pepole just sucks but anyway its beutyfull land (i live in iceland)

  • The city of Reykjavik is very well laid out, but the outskirts of town are absolutely gloomy, desolate. The city is very quiet, in some neighborhoods you can hardly see people walking on the streets.

This my advice for those under antidepressant treatment......DON´T GO THERE!!!!!

  • It's true. The cold is never that bad in Iceland. The wind IS crazy (I've been blown down hills several times and I'm a big guy...) and the snow can get very bad in winter - esp. when you mix it with the wind. We had to be pulled out of the roof of a house in south Iceland (they used hot water hoses to melt their way through!)

  • Amazing!

  • i love love LOVE this place!!!

  • yeah, something different over there. in the begging, i like those two statues. so odd! lol

  • I'm Canadian, 'too cold' means nothing lol. It's also been said that Reykjavik is seasonably warmer than Toronto in the winter
