I was walking down to the shop when I spotted a light racing across the sky. As I was walking back I spotted another. So, I went to fetch my camcorder on the off-chance another one might come by. Guess what?

Actually, I only wanted maybe half a dozen or so people to watch the video. That's why people use YouTube, to make sure only a handful of people get to see their stuff. Durrr!

Oh, and if you'd care to check out the media reports about 'UFO' sightings in the UK over the last five years or so, you will see that the vast majority were actually caused by these lanterns.

So, all things considered, would you like to retract or rephrase your comment? Didn't think so.

I used the word UFO within quotation marks, which is a journalistic way of showing that a description should not be taken literally.

I could have easily edited out the first 20-30 seconds of video leaving footage of a vague light in the distance. Many people have done just that and tried to pass off videos of lanterns as genuine 'UFO footage'.

I wanted to show that the UFO I filmed was nothing of the sort, but I could quite easily have presented it otherwise.

@MyOroInvictus i dont know what to say to that, on this video it seems pretty much like a lantern to me, nothing extra terrestrial here. I do believe they are here and have been for some time. I dont trust the government at all !
