I see a lot of Acura experts..... I'm being offered a (Miami, 33179)
2001 Acura TL, 4D, 135k for $3,500
2000 Mercury Cougar, 180k for $2,000
The Acura is now getting a new paint-job, has a big dent on the rear drivers door, probably need 2 front new tires
The Cougar has a 3.5L, it's manual, and it Makes noise on the rear axle, needs all four tires replaced.

@ Bahzad23, Because the TL does have a tranny recall. I own a 2003 TL type-s. I recieved the letter in the mail stating the recall. So far so good.102,000 with the original tranny. Knock on wood...

i have a 2003 TL never had a tranny issue 72000 miles

i have a white 02 tls, tranny rebuilt before i got it at 67k mi, now i have 107k, runs great.

The good news is that if your TL tranny was rebuilt or replaced after February 2005 it is the redesigned and upgraded 5-speed auto that had the larger oiling passages for 3rd gear clutchpack along with some other improvements which essentially resolved most if not all of the reliability issues with this transmission.

oh yeah ours went on our tl at 56k thank god for the free on they gave us because we were still covered

my g20 is a 1993 manual 5spd, 2.0, H4 and 140hp. my tl type s is 2002 260hp, with 5 spd automatic and 3.2 V6. really, I like my g20 more than my wife tl.
