@ADPTraining Either way you need the key.

@cvmoon3 Yes, you are correct. Not trying to help a thief they must have a key if not the dealer will sell you one at a incredibly high price with the registration. Ha!

What if you have a key with no chip????

I need a solution like this for a 2003 Civic EX that the dealer can't program a key for. The computer was replaced due to the alternator zapping it. They say it's a gray market car and can't help. They say it's Canadian but the car is from California. I have the wire diagram, but don't know if I should run power to the red and blue wire at PCM E27 or ground or what. maybe E3? Please help if you can. Thanks.- Brian Tow to Canada isn't an option for them.

before i started this bypass wiring i tried something that solved the starting problem on my car,,i rolled up a piece of fine sandpaper and stuck it in the keyhole in and out to clean off contacts , and it worked now car starts every time!!,,,jb

@johnnymonjohnny10 Your're a smart guy. Not because you did that, but because you used common sense to figure out a solution. Often times auto techs get lost in the technological mess and loose their way. It is very common to see a difficult solution employed on an easy problem, but we can't blame techs. It is tough to work 12 hours a day then come home to hit the books, videos or any training at all. Good for you and thanks for the post...
