Actually she didn't become a zombie. That was canister was liquid satan. When it sprayed in her mouth she became an entity of satan

I love the pulsing soundtrack throughout the whole film. You forget it's there at times, but it adds to the tension.

this is a classic because it is a cerebral horror-not straight up blood and gore-which are fine if in the right context or setting-john carpenter is a great director-this is why movies like "paranormal activity" and the great new movie "insidious" are always going to be scarier than "freddy vs Jason"-I think George Romero said it best "they dont make horror movies they make action movies and call them horror"
