"In this world we live in....aren't we all looking for....faith?
No, some of us have no use for faith. Truth and knowledge are much more important to us.
You believe that a 14 year old boy went in to the woods by himself, spoke to God and Jesus, translated gold plates written in a language that never existed with rocks. You believe that two tribes of Israel settled in America thousands of years ago.
Congrats. It takes real faith to believe what you believe.
The last guy in the video (the guy without a suit and tie) said among the most profound things in the video. The truth will set you free. I believe the words of Joseph Smith regarding the visions and revelations he received and I see the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as fulfilling the words of ancient prophets regarding the restoration of the Gospel.
The only criticism I have of this video is why is it that in the vast majority of LDS presentations, the men are all dressed in suits and ties? It is the corporate image that I don't like. It is across the board with most (if not all) conservative Christians. I think that the Latter-day Saints could be set apart if most (if not all) dressed in a more casual yet still clean and simple way.
Oh brother. This sounds just like what's going on in Iraq with the various sects warring against each other saying they are the "real Islam". You're just saying "the real Christians." When you make those statements you are totally bringing your integrity into question in my book and huge red flags go up.
That's rediculous and very simplistic in thinking. Mormonism has always criticized the limitations of mainstream Christianity. That is one of the main reasons Mormonism exists as an answer to those questions that mainstream Christians never could answer.
It is not radical Islams that threatens this Christian country it is the growth of this psuedo Christian cult. However, I don't understand why real Christians arent up in arms obout thesesevants of satan for hijacking there faith. Mormons are NOT friends os Christians...they are Anti-truth and Anti-GOD and Anti-America
(continued from the other reply) The comment about Joseph Smith is absolutely false. The quote reads: "Joseph Smith, has done more, SAVE JESUS ONLY, for the salvation of men in this world, than any other man that ever lived in it." (D&C 135:3) There is no man nor will there ever be that could do what Jesus Christ did for mankind! He is our savior and redeemer! Try to get your facts stright before posting falsehoods about a religion you obviously know nothing about.
First off, the bible states that Jesus Christ was conceived by the power of the holy ghost. Mormons believe no differently. There is no evidence stating that Jesus Chrust was married at all, nor that he had children. There has been speculation, but that is absolutely not official church doctrine. There has been no offical manifesto or doctrine to that end.
