In Potters Bar on the Oakmere Estate We have had a Small Green in front of Oakmere School that has been used for Playing on, or for People Walking their Dog's. But now, The Affinity Sutton Housing Association now want to Build 2 Blocks of Flats and 6 Semi-Detached Houses on the Green. and to Turn a Nearby Smaller Green into a Car Park, Leaving Nowhere for the Local Children to Play. A Group of Local Mother's Led by Keri Noonan, Have started a Campaign to Preserve our Green. Every Day for about 2 Weeks, Many of us have Parked Ourselves on the Green, making it Difficult for the Workmen to Start Digging it Up. Keri and Some Friends even Put a Caravan and Tent's on the Green and Camped there. The "London Tonight News" Reported the Story. • i just missed being on tv

  • park is 2min walk away lol

  • I remember playing on this green when I went to Oakmere school in the 1960's/70's. Then my own children went to the school and palyed there as well. Now it's gone and simply to build dwellings that could have been put elsewhere on the estate

  • keep our green spaces
