A Timothy McVeigh Execution Roadtrip Part 02 of 04

Back in 2001 the federal government executed a man for the first time since 1963, Timothy McVeigh. McVeigh killed 168 people when he detonated an explosive device outside of a federal building in Oklahoma City, OK. This senseless act of pre 9/11 terrorism occured on April 19, 1995, exactly 2 years to the day when a standoff between the ATF agents and a relegious sect led by David Koresch resulted in the death of some 80 "cult" members. Innocent men, women, and children were killed in both instances. The final result, one of our very own U.S. soldiers, Timothy McVeigh, a gulf war veteran who was a part of General Schwarzkopf's elite inner circle during Desert Storm, was executed by lethal injection in Terre Haute, Ind. Six of us retraced these steps, from Waco, to Oklahoma City, and finally Terre Haute, in search of understanding on the eve of the McVeigh execution. This is what we brought back.

I remember this day, I remember being in school and hearing the explosion. I dont have any sympathy for this man what so ever. Just my oppinon but someones going to be an asshole any way and call me a pussy or blind. Killing innocient people is still murder even out of retalition. There is no justification for this at all. My aunt died due to this bombing. She was a janitor in the building when it exploded. Was that just cause??

I disagree with something u wrote... "explosive device" a nuclear detonator is a explosive divice and so is a handgun's trigger. But the nuclear reaction is the mother of all explosions the end product of explosive divice. A lethal bullet is end product of trigger. So i guess want i'm saying is use the right term he used mega-bomb and not just a lethal device.
