I never get fascinated with this part of the history, the "Holy Roman Empire" in other worlds were merely barbarian peoples and their culture was way too underdeveloped. They took the path of becoming civilized creating and empire but not by what their ancestors taught them but copying what other civilization did, they copied the Roman culture at their will. Since Germans want to be what the Romans did and achieved: An empire that really changed our world, HRE is not HOLY ROMAN nor an EMPIRE.
