  • This is great stuff :D. Anyone interested in folk metal with real folkelements like Metsatökll, should check out the finnish Korpiklaani.

  • Estonian best metal :>!

  • I saw these guys at the Heathen Crusade Metalfest in the USA... These guys are amazing.

  • @Jankowitch66

that about sums it all up...

korpiklaani invokes 0 emotions in me.... while metsatöll fills me up.

    talent and feeling.

  • @rocker291129 Comparing Metsatöll to Korpiklaani should be illegal. Korpiklaani only have the folk instruments, Metsatöll have the killer riffs, the musical talent and everything else. Metsatöll is excellent heavy metal with strong folk influences, not only folk metal.

  • @antagonist42 Check their song "Keep on Galloping", its one of their less "rough" songs. i strongly recommend it

  • This is quintessential folk metal played at its best. This band incorporates all the modern and ethnic instruments and plays it with some crazy time signatures. This song is a true gem in this musical genre!

  • @RoboCuogh I've heard of them but I'm not really a fan because of the "rough" vocals. Do Korpiklaani ever do cleaner stuff the way Metsatöll do?

  • Oh thy goose, gray bird. (2x) Oh my brother, waterfowl. (2x) Go upon the gray world. Become the day after the world. Come earth, come~elle~ Come from ashes, come~elle~ Rise from water, rise high. Grow sturdy, grow~elle~. Give life, give to iron. Give life, give to stone. Bring strength, bring it to the tribe. Bring it to the land where we were born. Give life, give to the womb. Give life, give to the sprout. Carry strength, carry on to the plow. Carry steps to where we go.
  • (All them rhymes once again and in the end theres )

    Give life, give its measure.

Hearts contents that is a fiery path.

Take from earth where we will once wither.

On nervous steps to the netherworld.

    (Title means: "Waterfowl",

and in the last post i wrote 'water foul' it was waterfowl instead)

  • Tuse kôrgele. And I always hear this: "Tuse Perkeelee" that's finnish :D
