@2kargarage1 what about the air needed for the flame in the first place? Wouldn't it "starve" if you had a pot siting on the top hole?

A side burning stove does not need a pot
stand. It is it's own pot stand.

@1jump2many Can you use cooking (vegetable) oil as fuel for a stove??

@dragoninfire123: No, I wouldn't recommend it. I usually use Methyl Alcohol, but sometimes use Denatured Alcohol. I you have the fuel additive HEET (in the yellow bottle) where you live, that is Methyl Alcohol. It is sold at all auto parts store and Walmart sells it as well.

At first it looked like you were just pouring alcohol inside the can and burning it there, and i was a bit confused as to why the alcohol was coming out the jets instead of just burning through the hole at the top.
But then i noticed that your design is a bit different to the others ive seen, instead of having the usual separate pre heater youve built that section right into the middle of the stove and that isnt just a hole in the top of the can. Its two separate chambers. Very neat work!

@FelixTheHouseFreak: I wish I could claim it as my design but it has been around for a long time. I got my directions from a great stove making web site called zenstove(dot)net. Great place, check it out.
