i have learned on some ooold stones and blades that were in the kitchen i have been working in for a good twenty years, some of them look way more concave than this one. It actually works just fine, as long as you're using even pressure. i have even fixed broken tips/blades on these stones. they dont make them like that anymore!

hahaha, I dont recall Any Chefs In My Michelin Star Restaurant From " Kirkwood Community College" P.S My Boner Almost has the same Concave as your stone.

he definitely needs to flatten that stone before sharpening or its not going to get sharp.
-
A concave stone is not the way to do it. Fix the stone first. How on earth is he going to get a knife evenly sharpened with that stone... omg.

WRONG---WRONG THAT`LL NEVER WORK...WHAT A FOOL

I don't know what it is about this video, but it is so hard to watch without FF-ing. Maybe it's all the jargon done before and not during the actual sharpening. Don't know. But I do know that I've read stereo manuals that were more interesting.
Nice concave stone there...
