@lezvarthok Watch a film titled, "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" by Studio Ghibli, and try to track down a joint interview done with Moebius and the Japanese studio CEO, where he says Moebius' artwork inspired the movie. Nausicaa is arguably one of the iconic anime films that many illustrators look to as their influence in Japan.

@A1R5N1P3R I at least found his traces as guest artist in the japanese (and germanophile) game called panzer dragoon 1. how do you think he influenced anime ? I cant speak or understand french, so I dont know too much about him :( the only great thing I know of him is that in his own comics, he tends to draw without totally fixed and written story, which is both an awesome freedom and skill for an established comicartist in my eyes( as artist myself).

Actually, I spent an afternoon with Giraud once--a fine man and first class, as is Corben. Indeed they are both in classes by themselves though very different. Corben made innovations in technique as well as developing an original form.

And Corben was first recognized in France.

At one point Metal Hurlant was Corben and Moebius.

Hey, jonjon. I just discovered Time Masters a few years ago and was thrilled to see Moebius in film form. It also may explain why Moebius was not involved in the Heavy Metal film. It seems both films were in production about the same time. I also just learned that Enki Bilal's "The Immortal's Fete" was made into a film called "Immortal (Ad Vitam)"
