Wow, I have some old post-WWII pictures of my grandpa driving that BMW motorbike with a sidecar...

If you live in the Boston area then come and watch the show this october

I can't believe that someone around Boston has a German Personnel carrier with mounted cannon and a German Sturmgeschütz III tank destroyer.

I love the flak 88

How windy was it, according to weather reports, at the time of filming? I assume you had the mics set to shield from the wind?
Thanks for this, really helpful real-world test of this camera. I think built-in audio of this cam is amazing, compared to that of most other cameras out there, even dedicated camcorders and cameras that are 3 times its price. Panasonic is brilliant at audio quality, always were.

Hi Meowbay,
I probably forgot to turn the wind cut filter switch on. But yes, I am delighted with the audio quality also. I had a Vimeo Zi6 and Zi8, and both had very crappy audio quality. I even had a Nikon D90 and experienced poor audio quality there also. The audio quality from the GH1 is great.

Re-enactment of WWII combat staged in Stow, MA, at the Collings Foundation involving American, German, British, Russian combat troop re-enactors. I shot this on my Panasonic GH1, 720p mode, kit lens. Unfortunately, I did not have a tripod, but found the GH1 to be amazingy stable even when zoomed nearly all the way in.
