Master Fiddler Chuck Anton, and Mighty Jim Shroka play Camp Chase, a tune ultimately attributed to "Devil Solly Carpenter". Family legend has it that Solly played his way out of a prison camp in Camp Chase, near Columbus Ohio, during the Civil War. This recording took place at the faculty concert at the Stephen Foster Old-TIme Music Weekend, 9.9.11, sponsored by the Stephen Foster Folk Culture State Park, in High Springs, Florida, with scholarships supported by Gold Tone Banjos, the Florida Banjo Society, and Rochelle and Norman Morris: Chuck Levy and Jim Strickland co-organizers. This event takes place annually on the second weekend of September.
