We've both gone off the booze so it could be a coke bottle for mum and me...that's if it's ok with our lordships

@moo2thetube I don't know if it still is, but it used to be legal (in Australia) to bury a relative on your own land, then all you'd need would be a shovel. Your Mum sounds like a real character, but I'd swap the coke bottle for a VB stubby! Cheers!

@moo2thetube Yes, we are all going to die one day, but we don't need to be constantly reminded of it. What about the ad with an ugly, old, out-of-work, ex presenter, with a toy hearse, next to his 1920's mic! He looks like his pulse should be checked, as he looks dead himself. If these companies were unable to claim so much advertising as a business expense, we would only get a fraction of this crap. Ads are virtually free, so in effect we are paying to be annoyed through our taxes.

@AinataKula i'm not one either to take this any further but i'd really enjoy trying too. with the banks/Jews & US running the show we have issues, religion is the key to this capitalist system working, seeing our laws are based upon that book to bring fear to those who dare to break this law system in place..

Mum says she is reminded by the tv every three minutes that she is going to die. She wants her ashes stuck in a coca cola bottle and thrown over a cliff. They are screwing with our heads.

I mean they are a big slice of our population so these insurance companies play on our fears of not being able to afford to bury our parents. How below the belt can they get? When you see their adverts, just image the word 'criminals' in amber lights over their commerical. I can see them going bust after being investigated and ripping of many people first. Our murdoch is a disgrace for letting these weasels put their commercials on our tellys.

Hi there, I don't use twitter or facebook anymore so Im no use sorry. I would not trust those insurance companies in a fit. They offer so called free will kits which are worthless according to my solicitor. That is a dead give away(pardon the pun). I suppose baby boomers are dropping like flies(or about to) and they are the thickest generation.

@moo2thetube An economic expert (Herald Sun newspaper) recently advised AGAINST funeral insurance, as you can end up paying many thousands more than the funeral you get - $150,000 for a $6,000 funeral for instance! I want to know why the sudden interest from insurance C's? Every one of them has at least 4 different TV ads going, almost non-stop during the day - WHY? There must be big (potential) money in this. I'm not on Twitter or Facebook, so please pass this on to them for me xx!

@dosh228 You are very right! Why is there no alternative to a religious funeral? Athiests die too! Why shouldn't family pay for it, when they are beneficiaries? And this stuff about funeral directors demanding instant payment is just absolute crap! I'm not one, but some-one should speak up for these poor bastards. I've had some personal experiences with them and found them very sensitive and not demanding, when dealing with grieving families. 'Pay when you can,' was one comment.
