It is noticeable that this short documentary is devoid of any participation by the Sudanese themselves. There is a total lack of empathy with them. The film's genre is an outdated tried mode rooted in the Eurocentric self interest discourse showing other Eurocentrics 'those strange oppressed darkies.' The interviewer spends most of the footage filming and deeply admiring himself and then purports to be uncovering the real story of Darfur. Pathetic is the most suitable word that comes to mind!

I wish the host wasn't so condescending to the locals and just tried to tell the story. It's obvious that he's a coke addict with a skewed sense of decorum, but sometimes it's too much

@silasmoon Not necessarily. Tons of hemp can be grown on one acre and is cheaper to grow and we wouldn't have to have oil wells.

Why is the world hell bent on oil? Just grow hemp and use hemp oil which is a renewable source which would help the environment. And it wouldn't cause wars.
