  • When is necessary replace the one way bearing?

  • @heliloco You should check the one-way bearing after every crash, or after every 20 flights, just spin the blades anti clock wise, it should feel, free, smooth and silent. But if in doubt change it, If you keep flying with a faulty one-way bearing, you will lose torque the shaft will either spin more-or-less freely in the main gear or just stop rotating, either way it's falling out of the sky.

    Thanks Peter

  • Is it possible to push out the bearing without the removal tool? Excellent video BTW.

  • @Uniballerjimmy Yes you can, just find two sockets ,one large enough to fit around the one-way bearing and the other small enough to push the bearing out ,you can do this with gentle taps using a hammer but you must be careful not to damage anything ,I would suggest using a small G clamp or vice.

    Thanks for your comment.
