What this movie doesn't show is that doing all of these things in real life will guarantee you STD's and HIV & AIDS. Candy was a prostitute for some time, which is also a free ticket for Herpes. While the movie is VERY realistic in some ways, there's more pain involved in this lifestyle than is shown in this movie. Also, not everyone that you meet will be as attractive as Heath Ledger.

That is very true! I've only seen inexperienced and naive teenagers and young adults get blood transmitted diseases.

@princessivoryrose No movie is realistic, but this however is a very accurate film. I was addicted to heroin for several years and I never came across any blood transmitted diseases. I would say that the educated and informed heroin user is beyond that.
