There are actually places where you can donate hair for people to make wigs for kids who have cancer.
Why not also donate your own hair to them, since you're already resolved to shave it off?

Baltes, you truly are a brave man. I wouldn't have the courage to shave my own head, no matter what the situation was, but you have the courage. I wish you good luck on this.
