@GlassDarkly in that time all anyone who used the internet used it predominantly for email. Search was unheard of. Gaming was completely unheard of. Video... you get my drift. It wasn't until the late late 90's when the internet was seen as more of an educational tool but by then ATARI was non existent.

well the internet was still finding it's identity at that point, exploding with stupid start-up companies but not so many wikipedia type things like today. it was more of a novelty than a serious education medium back then, at least as i remember it. i fondly remember cawfeetawk, but don't remember learning much or doing much research online, and i was in school back then!

is this interview pre-internet? like early 90's or something? he doesn't even mention the internet when talking about video games as an education medium, seems like that would be relevant.

Mid to late 90's so you are right. Would have expected him to mention the net by then.
