Oh an @ 5555 true but y not root? Plus flashing cm7 fixes the grid spacing on home screen, although u can tweak it manually in go launchers settings :)

Had my fire since xmas. An let me tell u... This thing rocks. Wasn't my ideal tab at first, but it was a gift and a great one none the less. Rooted and flashed cm7 to it with an OCing kernal OCed to 1.3 ghz an still getting around 8 to 10 hours on this bad boy. Also installed gapps and googles app market. Simply put... I fuckin love it!! Android over apple n e day

Rooted mine a couple days ago, and it friggin rocks! Im still getting about 6-8 hours battery life on heavy usage with WiFi on 95% of the time. So much so far installed and running on this thing, I won't even list lol

Hey how's the battery life on this after you rooted it? I'm thinking about getting this over asus eee pad because It's cheap as hell and I'll root it and put ics lol.. what do you think I should do?
