Populous: The Beginning - 24 : Journey's End 1/6

Part 1/6 of World 24 : Journey's End in my Populous: The Beginning walkthrough.

Well here it is, the final level before you ascend to the heavens and become a God. You're in for a beating, but with the knowledge from previous levels, it is more than doable. Expect the full repetoire of spells to come your way. All three tribes are pretty much built up with all the Huts and Guard Towers and Training facilities they need, only lacking in Followers perhaps. Their Settlements have a much larger area covered than in previous levels, so expect them to be more spread out, as well as having good covered defence in the form of cleverly placed Guard Towers e.c.t. Start by Converting wildmen and builing up your Settlement. Ground forces really are on the agenda for this level. Don't bother with Boats or Balloons, building them just gives your opponents time to recouperate. Ground assaults will work best. The Dakini don't seem to attack much in this level, they seem to be busy splitting their efforts between the Matak and the Chumara. Near the beginning of this level, the Matak Shaman will Landbridge to your island from the north west. anticipating an attack, I place a few Guard towers down as well as a Swamp. You have a decent patch of land, but probably not enough. Two options, Landbridge near the edge of the water to generate more land, or raid the Matak. I went for the former, not knowing this actually isn't hard from an offensive point of view. The Chumara will attack from the north east soon, with a reasonable sized force, though the Earthquake, Lightning and Tornadoes will be your main concern. See the small stretch of land they have to cross? Blasts will deal will pick off a few of their Followers. This part ends with me claiming the entirety of my piece of land, and looking to expand upon it.

one of the most fun levels. i also put a swamp on the way of the matak shaman which she always corsses when she is about to send me an aod

I usually just elevate my base so boats aren't able to dock and flood my village. Also I staff lots of firewarriors in areas I know the shaman and her forces will fly over so my firewarriors can decimate them before they reach any huts or my shaman. However the starting location is low and I can't raise my land at the start of the level. Thanks for the upload, hope it works.
