  • i have a 93 dodge dakota and the window isnt working because the window is not hooked up to the motor arm. how do i hook the motor arm back up to the window? do you have to take the arm off and put it on the window then hook the arm back up to the motor? please help

    thank you

  • @errickidle basically yes you need to reattach the motor to the regulator and the regulator to the window. I would recommend getting a repair manual or searching online for a diagram to see how the different parts work and how they fit together this will give you a much better idea of how things work.

  • I have a 1999 Chrysler Intrepid....yes I know, it's a damn shame....the glass in the drivers window, rolls up, but it stops at the to leaving a crack because it's not on track, you can see the actual glass has slid off track. Can I fix that because I REFUSE to pay some dude to fix it for 80 damn dollars when I could've done it myself...I'm a girl, but I'm no dummy, tell me what to do and I'll fix it, pleasseeeee and thanks!

  • @tammysoulful basically if you need to get the window back on the channel you need to do what we did in the video and remove the door panel first. That should give you access to the window and you may even be able to simply place it back on track. If not you may need to remove the regulator and reinsert the glass. Do a google image search for your vehicle you might find a diagram of the window setup and that could help you see what all the parts and the inside looks like.

  • Hey guys my problem is alittle unique. my 02 chevy avalanche power window will not work. All other windows work fine. I thought it was the switch . Put a new switch in from chevy dealer and it did the same thing. I wired 12v directly to the motor and it worked fine up and down. But still cant get this one window to work by use of the switch .Does anyone know what else could be the problem.

  • @camalot55 I'm not personally familiar with that model but if it's not the window motor could be a possible relay? Not sure if those models use a separate relay, one that is in the switch itself, or not.

  • My 2007 Nissan Sentra S power window controls have just stopped working. The power lock control on the driver's side door is also non-functioning. The power lock control on the passenger side works tho. what's my problem?

  • I have a 2000 hyundai sonata, my window seem to have went off the track how do I go about fixing this? The motor still works and everything goes down but the window.

  • Very very very helpful, was my exact problem on the same car. Now I use my new tool set I just got for Xmas and go fix it right now. Thanks man

  • Thanks for the video... We were having issue finding the hidden screws!!!!!! We were able to reinstall the window and make the power windows functional again! Happy holidays!!!!!! And just for thought, Ben paid $2000.00 for his '96 Accord! Puerto Rico is tough on cars!!!!!!!

  • @camalot55 i forgot to mention.... I put some door speakers on an 03 avalanche and had a problem with front passenger window not coming up or down. After some trouble shooting i found the problem within the passenger switch connector. This connectors are so easy to damage. Make sure your connector is pushed all the way in and all the pins are in all the way. It was a pain. I supported the joint with some electric tape so it wouldn't come loose.

  • @camalot55 In case you haven' solved this issue... brand new switch, so obviously is not the switch... try the fuses. Some window motors have their own fuse. Check window relays. Also check wiring specially in the door boot. check to see if is not cut or may just be a loose connector. If you have solved this issue please let us know what it was. It will be of big help for those peeps having the same problem.
