@dimitrigregorieff Being Aussie and having lived in Europe for many years and now just north of Bang Tao I can say - Western Med beaches are garbage. Bang Tao is unlike the rest of Phuket, its uncrowded and a great little gem. If you like your packed out club med beaches full of screaming kids and sunburnt middle age english tourists then by all means save your money, but it's definitely worth the spend, particularly now in winter.
