I use a 5 : 2 ratio by weight. (25 grams potassium perchlorate, 10 grams sugar).

It burns very quickly and could be very useful in rockets.

  • now mix it with aluminium powder, you would probably be dead from doing that

  • @nssurge Not true. There is not enough pressure built up around this deflagration to cause any concussive waves, and thus wouldn't produce enough of a shock wave to kill anyone.

The pressure from hand grenades is more lethal at 3 meters that this would be at 1 meter. This would be loud, and it would be bright, and it MIGHT produce a small shockwave if the temperature is low and the pressure in the air is high. But even then, it wouldn't carry the energy a hand grenade's shockwave would.

  • @slyscafe actually at a weight more than 50 grams I believe, flash powder does not need a container to cause a supersonic shock wave, so it can be very dangerous in large quantities, while it may not kill you it would certainly through to the floor

  • @nssurge True, partially because the powder around it that hasn't combusted acts as a container to it when it burns.

Floor you, yes, but it would not kill. It might cause a few burns, too. I've done 50 grams in a PVC pipe before, and it is powerful, yes, but it would be no substitute for a real, good ol' fashioned grenade.

  • @slyscafe nah obviously not, do you know if you can make flash powder from kn03 instead of perchlorate ??

  • @nssurge You can, and I did a demonstration in another one of my videos. Actually, did both chlorate and nitrate with magnesium (which I use as the base for my flash powders, rather than aluminum.

KNO3 is significantly weaker, though, because it chiefly doesn't donate as much oxygen in comparison with everything else. It's kind of one of those weird reactions where you end up with metal nitrides, and nitrous oxides.

    Should be:

"Was I even talking to [yo]u, bitch? [I] was arguing with adriiPortillo. Wait [yo]ur turn, pussy."

  • @danaownsall Yeah. But you failed to see the point. The point was to handle everything as if it were the most unstable explosive in the world, and to handle everything with care. Not "THIS IS AS DANGEROUS AS NITROGLYCERIN LOLOLOLOL"

Seriously dude, read into the values behind what I say, rather than just the words themselves.

  • @dosowl While it is poisonous, it's not terribly toxic. I believe it's a 1 or 2 on harm to humans (out of 4), and they use chlorate to treat yeast infections. Humans can be around this stuff, just make sure to wash your hands.

  • I've done this a lot and it is really cool.

I have also made a fuse of it using a straw.

I do have some left of it but I am wondering if I should just throw it away, it's poisenes u know.

  • @labchemo ...You have disproved every single thing I've heard about the EU with that one single post. If you wouldn't mind telling other people who are from Europe that you have these, that'd be great.

  • I HAVE Potassium perchlorate and others chemicals (In EU) labchemo@gmail.com
