Unless your going to use a Steadicam, tripod/monopod or some sort of shoulder support like the VariZoom's DV Traveler compact, shock absorbing support. All you need is the camera's built-in hand grip.

Worthless crap! And I'll tell you why. The further away you put a camera, like in this case on some wierd contration. all that mass and weight will be harder to control. the slightest movement in your hands will be applified in the lens. plus the weight of the cam will hurt your wrist when you pan down.
