Fun with the Sequential Circuits Prophet 2000 Sampling keyboard

This is a fun vintage piece of gear....This keyboard came out in 1985 and was an instant success...It was a much cheaper alternative to the EMU Emulator II and Synclavier and other sampling systems...It is loaded with awesome filters and sampling editing capabilities...It was introduced at a base price of $2599.00 although still expensive, thousands less than other samplers of its time...

A friend of mine gave me this one.. It had been sitting in his garage for 10 years collecting dust... I brought it home, cleaned it up, and keeping my fingers crossed, turned it on...and it worked great...Still does... Enjoy.. More videos of it and some of my other gear to come.

i really like little tune you played. i just got a vintage sequential keyboard, turns on and everything but i can't get any sound out of it. i plugged my headphones into the mix channles and i tried pluging it into an amp but still no sound.

Thanks a lot man...So what kind of SCI keyboard do you have..Sounds like maybe the output board has gone bad...I have a few parts... If you need something, I will dig through my inventory and see what I have.... Posting another video of one of the P2k's internal sound bank...just a simple little tune...The video quality isn't that great but the audio is in stereo :)
