RPGMaker VX Part 11 - The Final Trial

The final trial is a battle against Mildrath. He fights you by himself. For the final trial, he's not that difficult. He's fought in two phases.

PHASE ONE: Mildrath will either attack, cast Flame II or Newclear, although the latter doesn't happen very often. When he loses half his HP, he'll start casting Heal II on himself. Even so, this isn't a problem.

PHASE TWO: The real threat comes after you reduce his HP to 0. Transforming into a pretty wicked-looking demon-esque monster, he now starts moving twice each round. Upon transforming, he IMMEDIATELY uses Disruptive Wave, which eliminates all of your buffs, and follows up with Scorch - even if he already took his turn.

He'll either attack twice, use a fire breath attack called Scorch and attack once, or use Scorch twice. If you use any buff spells, there's a good chance he'll use Disruptive Wave. After using Disruptive Wave, he'll either attack or use Scorch.

The battle is still kind of easy, but I guess you could consider it a relief from the last one you just had. Next up we have the meeting with the Dragon Lord himself...

Use Dragon quest v boss fight music for

1st form and DS Dq5 final boss. it'll be better, dude

@DragovainLord WAY late, but in the current version, Mildrath is no longer one of the trials. Instead, he is an optional boss like the Dragon Lord (except he won't join you) and uses the boss theme from DQ5 for his first form and the final boss theme for his second form.

@ss14hero The one in the video isn't in use anymore, due to a virus. I could never find it again, but I ended up getting a new one instead that I liked more. It's called "Yanfly Engine RD - Bestiary + Display Scanned Enemy". It lets you view pretty much everything on an enemy you can, though you might want to disable the viewing of Skills like I did, since it will pull up event skills the enemy knows, as well.
