Cathy Webster of Chico, CA, heard this song and issued a call for 1000 Grandmothers to come the Ft. Benning, GA, to protest the School of the Americas, the notorious training school for Latin American soldiers. She said, What if 1000 grandmothers around America and the world were to take this song as their rallying cry and march onto the grounds of the SOA, accepting arrest and imprisonment in an effort to shut down the training school for terrorism? This protest has now become a tradition.
