Sean Prophet, son of The Summit Lighthouse/CUT founders Mark and Elizabeth Prophet, answers questions from Kathy Weber of KULR-TV (Billings, MT)

In this segment:

Does Church Universal & Triumphant pose any threat to society?

What do you say to people who say "I'm not hurting anyone, this makes my life better, what's the problem?"

It was a very tender conversation between you and your mother when she admitted to you that she abused power, and she was very sorry for that. What was going through your mind and heart at that point?

Do you forgive her?

Is that part of why you're working on this film, to shed light on the truth?

When you were working on the shelter construction, what were people talking about?

Did anyone at any point say "I'm out, this doesn't seem right," or was everyone on board for this building process?

And you stayed on board the whole time?

What kind of money was spent?

Where did that money come from?

Did anyone question why staff had to live in cramped mobile units while so much was being spent on the shelters?

  • i knew two members of this church. one was barred and his wife remained. bob and helen collier. bob passed away several years ago, pretty much destitute because he gave away his money to the church. his wife divorced him and stayed in montana. he went back to new york with not a cent. he told me that elizabeth herself banned him from the church just over a little incident regarding using a copy machine. he was so distraught over this and i don't think he ever recovered from the trauma of it all.

  • brilliant. so much truth here. totally amazing interview. what documentary are they talking about?

  • you are an incredibly brilliant man. thanks for posting.

  • Cult was Not a pejorative term until a madman named Jim Jones made his 900 followers drink purple Kool Aid in a mass suicide in the 1970s. All present-day religions started out small and were viewed as cults...however, one should not judge or condemn another person unless you have walked a mile in their shoes...
