This is from a very rare recording of a live performance of the Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 15 with John Ogdon, piano, and Leopold Stokowski conducting the American Symphony Orchestra in 1969 in New York City.
Yes, what with the orchestra and Stokowski himself, a whole lot of talent on this great recording. Ogdon was a terrific pianist whose life was cut tragically short by suicide but thanks to YouTube and sII10, we are able to enjoy this remarkable performance. Thanks again for posting it.
