8-24-2010 - Ashland Oregon Fire - Oak Knoll Drive

"The fire marshal in the southern Oregon town of Ashland says authorities are asking residents of several neighborhoods to evacuate as fires burn on both sides of Interstate 5. Fire Marshal Margueritte Hickman said Tuesday evening that officials are evacuating the Oak Knoll, Twin Pines Circle and Cypress Loop areas. Hickman did not know whether the fires were separate incidents or whether flames had jumped the freeway. Multiple fire engines are responding and a helicopter is dropping water. Witnesses tell the Ashland Daily Tidings that at least one barn and a trailer have burned.
