i was hitchhiking through wyomming once on my way to oregon and saw/ was passed by more cars with oregon plates and plenty of room than i saw with any other states including wyoming the state i was in after about 5 hours of that i didn't have the same kind of oh well maybe next time attitude that i had started with as you guys had as well in this i was pissed however the great thing about hitchhiking is that it takes a million cares going by to make you angry but only one to make you day....

@andjuggling A Big hello from europe! Nice work you guys, i work with the same combination of couch surfing, cheap nutrition, dumpster diving, hitch hiking and living on the road. It's a great freedom, so keep it up! im sure some people are being inspired to take to the road and find something new... :D
ps. dont forget the *thumb points back over shoulder"* sign of 'no room!' often followed by the enigmatic shrug! :P

You probably get this a lot but, where do you guys sleep, eat, clean yourselves? and how do you find the time to hitchhike? I'm 16 but I am planning to hitchhike when I'm older :) any information/links is helpful, thank you!
Kaitlan: We use Couchsurfing a lot to find places to sleep (and other sites... you can find them on our website at andjuggling punkt com). When we can't find a host, we often camp. Some of our other videos talk about that. We do a lot of price comparing when we shop to get the most nutrition for our buck, and we dumpster dive. We clean ourselves when we find a host, or in restrooms. We haven't had to use a truckstop shower yet. but those are available. See our website. Our email is there, too.

ha! yes, you guys know whats up! I have hitched all over the western us (rocky mountain chain and west of there) and my friends and I saw the "just a little" hand signal so much that now we always hitch with a sign that says "just a LITTLE north" with a picture of that hang signal on it. In fact, I never hold out my thumb unless I am making the "little" signal with my other hand. Gotta love how EVERYONE sees this one

We recently made a sign saying ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Three hours we waited there!

That shrug may mean, they'd like to stop but don't really know what to expect or do. I know that was pretty much exactly what I did one time driving by a hitchhiker seriously considering stopping. The thing going through my mind was uncertainty about what to expect from it, and things like that...I regret not stopping tho.
That's my interpretation being a 'normal' driver who has no experience with this.

Thanks! It's helpful to know how people think as they drive. I'm sure, given our experience, that we are no longer the norm when it comes to our perceptions of hitchhikers.
