  • Well, anyone that wants to know how to identify the GT-40 or GT-40p heads can do so now from the markings shown in this video. If they go to a swap meet, machine shop or Pull-a-Part yard they will know what they are looking at. In the video I did say Navigator when I should have said 1997 1/4 to 2001 Explorer/Mountaineer for the GT-40p heads; my mistake. Also, It is Thumper of Orange Park Florida and not Orange County. Thumper and Central Coast Mustangs are doing more with these heads also.

  • hi my name is raymond i wont to get p heads i have on bbk long tube headers now what do i have to do to make them work on p heads let me know if you know thank you very much...

  • @rayram2006 Hey Raymond, I'm not sure if you can use long tube headers with the GT-40p heads. Go to the Corral web site it's dedicated to the mustang and if it has been done it will be somewhere on that site. Good luck.

  • hey, are those ford mo sports headers made to fit into the foxbodies?

  • @zinotakesnotes yes they are. I ordered them from summit racing. They are specifically for the GT-40P heads which have a straighter spark plug hole. They give the clearance needed for the spark plug and wires

  • my gt40 heads dont have the emmission hole in the back...but they are gt40 heads, not the gt40p heads ..i got them of a 97 explorer..can i drill and tap them so i can keep my thermactor crossover tube ..thanks

  • I've read on a couple of foxbody forums that guys have had theirs machined at a machine shop. Check with you local cyclinder head shop on cost. Here in Tenneesee I've seen guys actually remove the emission crossover tube and plug the back of the cylinder heads with the plug from Ford or either ACE Hardware. They still pass emission testing without the emission pump or crossover tube.

  • @Dylan169113 carbureted intake manifold...the heads don't know the difference.

  • the navigator has a modular motor not 5.0

  • do you know what it requires to mount a carb on these heads?

  • Does anyone know if those headers work on a 67 mustang without hitting the shock towers? Please respond

  • i thought there was something weird about the heads i bought i seen the 3 raised bars on the side of them and snatched them off of the explorer for 13.99 a head at the local junkard. i knew they were suppose to have gtp on them but ididnt see it but i seen the gt so i still got them. thanx for the video

  • @flubbernuget are they shorties or longtubes?

  • @flubbernuget I LIVE IN ORANGE PARK FL!

  • Will my local machine shop have some GT40's sitting there for around 300-350? I see to many idiots trying to sell the gt40's for 500+ here wtf!

  • @rayram2006 im running bbk long tubes with p heads i bought talor 90 deg spark plug wires the 45's will just get burned, also my p heads were 62cc not 59cc so if your looking for that compression take em to and engine shop n have them decked
