Corrective Rape and Murder continues in South Africa

Mohoebi is one of a growing number of South African women choosing to live openly as lesbians. Some are paying a high price for their daring.

Human rights groups say at least 30 women have been murdered in recent years in the country -- simply because they were lesbians. Gangs continue to target these women, raping them under the guise of trying to "cure" their sexual orientation.

To compare two things that add to a person's suffrage and to try to decide which one is more than the other is to detract away from what those problems are. Rape is wrong. Genital mutilation is wrong. A person who has undergone that kind of treatment should know more than anybody how it feels to have freedom be taken away.

@yoyoboy70 ( Continued ) Over there in Africa one of the things that measures a mans worth is being able to rule over his woman and with the woman being in full compliance with the mans rule over her and if she's not then the husband takes that as a personal blow against his manhood . Often times in Africa if a woman is not willing to submit to her husband the husband will beat her and/or rape her into that submission. Sick shit isn't it

When a woman in Africa is not afraid then she WILL NOT SUBMIT which is bad because it makes her husband feel less like a man .
