Blackened with balanced bass. I saw many people remixing it with bass, but it seemed too overwhelming. Some had too much treble which lead to hearing the pick strike on the strings due to not enough low/mid end EQ. Other were just so loud that it clipped the audio.
I mixed this song with all the above in mind. Bass should be the back bone of a song not the lead, Unless your name is Steve Harris or Cliff hehe. And i compared this with the original, it is quite noticeable to me and most that Metallica consciously muted Jason's track. For what reasons, no one knows.
